Our Principal Services Breeding Our breeding operation is conducted in a manner to maximize conception. Our success rate speaks for itself. During each of the past three years the conception rate has been at least 92%. Boarding We provide seasonal and year-round boarding services. Our facilities include 65 acres of limestone-enriched lush green fields and paddocks contained by diamond-mesh fencing with sight-board top rails. We offer individual stallion turnout paddocks. Special attention is given to nutritional needs -- our feed ration consists of 14% custom-mix sweet feed with additional vitamin supplements at no extra charge. Boarders receive weekly visits from the farrier; health care needs are satisfied by as-needed visits from the farm veterinarian, Dr. Phillip Hunt. Foaling We provide optimum care for mares and foals. The foaling operation is monitored on a 24-hour per day basis via closed-circuit TV. During the foaling season an Equine Reproduction Specialist, Dr. Philip Hunt, makes daily visits to Xanthus Farm. Dr. Hunt is available on a 24 hour basis for foaling emergencies. We also have a colostrum bank on the premises. Farm Veterinary Services Dr. Phillip Hunt, Equine Reproduction Specialist, provides veterinary services for Xanthus Farm.
